Don’t let FLAB sabotage your efforts to eat healthy foods and listen to your true physical hunger. Before you eat, ask yourself if you are Frustrated, Lonely, Anxious or Bored? Eating in response to an emotion will not satisfy your “hunger” and relieves the unpleasant emotion only temporarily. After, you may feel frustrated for consuming extra, unnecessary calories and the cycle begins. If you answered Yes to the question, what could you do instead of eating?

When you are tempted to eat something, drink a glass of water instead because you could actually be thirsty instead of hungry.This is surprisingly satisfying and helps to control the appetite. Also, it is a fact that the products that contain sugar substitiutes actually stimulate the appetite.

So very true… we often confuse our body signals, especially when we are listening to the emotions. Artificial sweeteners just trick the brain into thinking more calories are coming, increasing hunger. Thanks for sharing and reminding readers!
